Travel Tips

When thinking of the items you are going to take with you on your trip, think about what the weather will be like. You can check how the weather has been in the region for the past week and also look at the forecast. Just make sure you take precautions if necessary, so you won't be caught off guard, if the weather decides to change.

Before departing on a trip, the wise traveler makes sure at least one person back home knows where he will be. This "home base" contact should also be updated with any unplanned changes the traveler encounters on the way. Someone who knows where a traveler is - and where they should be - can be a great help in the case of trouble on the road.

Take a good book with you to read when traveling. If you always have something interesting to do, you will be less likely to get frustrated or bored during layovers and other time delays that are beyond your control. Buy a new title that you have been wanting to read so that you have something to look forward to.

When travelling out of the country, make sure someone back home has a detailed copy of your itinerary. Make sure they know where you'll be staying and have a way to contact you in case of an emergency. This is also good on the off case that something happens to you they can find you.

If you are touring Europe, take advantage of their outstanding rail system. Instead of flying to each of your destinations, only fly into your first city and then hop on the train. Not only is it much more affordable, but by traveling overland, you are sure to get an amazing look at the area beyond your major city stops.

Walsall Taxis and How We Make A Difference

We have been making headlines for the past few months, not only in local papers such as express and star but in national papers as well such as private hire monthly. We have just launched our latest scheme which will make a huge difference to venerable adults and the way they get around in taxis, we have become the first taxi company in the U.K to introduce our very own in house disability awareness programme. What does this mean to us the end user?

Drivers trained to address sensitive issues

Driver able to spot and help passengers

It is believed that most taxi companies are lacking or developing slowly to meet the needs of the modern day traveller, hopefully more taxis companies will follow what we have done at yellow taxis and improve their game.

This just fails in line with our policy to keep setting standards so other taxi companies can aspire to be better.

Part 1 of the Disability Discrimination Act defines disability as –

A physical or mental impairment which has a substantial long-term adverse effect on a person’s ability to carry out normal day to day activities.

The disability discrimination act 1995 introduced new laws to end the discrimination that many disabled people face. The Act gives disabled people new rights of access to goods, facilities and services.
